Barcelona Art Museums

Barcelona has a very important artistic heritage spread all over its museums and art centers.

In these cultural venues you will find a huge variety of art styles, from the primitive works of the first civilizations to the latest contemporary artworks.

The largest and the most comprehensive one is the National Art Museum of Catalonia, which we recommend you if you want to know better the different periods of the history of art, because the collections contains pieces of art since Middle Ages to the latest works of the XXth century.

Other museums dedicated to art collections focus on certain periods of history. This concept is applied to centers like the Contemporary Art Museum and the CCCB.
