MACBA
Known as MACBA , The Contemporary Art Museum of Barcelona is one of the most active and more interesting art centres in the city.

The building occupied is undoubtedly a unique space, designed by American architect Richard Meier . The imprint of his architectural rationalism combines straight lines and curves, with the use of pure white as an expressive resource.

Remarkable in particular the intense indoor lighting , achieved through huge galleries and openings in the facade, filtering the light rays outside.

The museum consists of three floors , plus the Angels Chapel used for temporary exhibitions (former Convent located outside and adjacent  the museum) and the exhibition hall of the Centre for Research and Documentation .

MACBA Collection it was not shown entirety since 2005 , now they permanently organize activities around the contemporary art and culture in all three spaces .

The MACBA contains an important collection of sculptures , photographs, paintings , digital art works ... Highlight works by artists such as Vito Acconci , Hans Haacke , Dan Gram or Martha Rosler .

In short , presents a comprehensive collection of works on different format best European Contemporary Art .
