The W Hotel is the most iconic, luxurious hotel of Barcelona with the best view of the city on the sea. At the end of the Barceloneta beach, the gargantuan glass structure is large enough to throw a sailing shadow across the sand. It is a kind of hotel that is difficult to leave with two swimming pools, a cutting-edges gym, a clubby cocktail lounge and a seafood restaurant led by Carles Abellan, Michelin Star Chef. While this is not the best place to explore the city, it is about ten minutes by taxi from the beginning of La Rambla.
